My latest JDM acquisition arrived a few weeks back and was able to get a little bit of time on the water. First impressions are good. Fuji guides and reel seat, build is clean with no glaring epoxy or thread nasties.
It's been some time since I've used graphite for crankbaits and topwaters. My primary rod previously was the Team Daiwa Signature Elite Tak Omori 7' cranking rod. The difference is stark. Where the Tak rod is a boa constrictor slowly overcoming it's prey with continued application of muscle power, the Bartolo is a cobra attack-reflex-response to work the bait.
More to follow ...
Outstanding descriptions of both rods, love it. What have you been tossing on both those sticks?…for reference.
The Tatula is/was an excellent shallow/medium/deep crankin', topwater and spinnerbait rod. I'm probably going to pick up a new one for winter/prespawn work.
Bartolo is for medium/deep crankin', maybe some larger shallow cranks like the Goriller and LC B.D.S 3s
Joker is for topwater and light shallow cranks.
Upper limit on the Joker?
1st, 2nd and 3rd fish on the Bartolo: 2 were about 13"/14" and an 18" of about 3 1/2lbs:
note to goldrod: Goriller, Baby! Sexy Shad

I don't know if it's just me, howvever I am unable to open these images?
@blitzdr you are uploading RAW or HEIC images which aren’t supported/native to the Forum template. If you shoot em in jpeg or convert to that, they will show up. Otherwise we have to download the image and open.
Thanks! I'll see what I can do at my end. I'm just using the iPhone pix and uploading
Camera settings, change from RAW to JPEG

Done, thanks!
We'll see how that goes.
