Morning quickie action

We've been very dry this year on rain, as of last week we were about 6"-8" below average around my parts.  The last couple of days of light drizzle and cloud cover gave enough oxygen and purpose for some smallies to come out and play...gar, carp, shad, suckers, bream, panfish, white bass... everything is in full spawn or post spawn mode.

I tried out a new combo that I had an inking would be fabulous for light-med wire 1/4-3/8 oz swimjigs, and it proved 💯.

2019 BLX 73ML Limber + Ian tuned Steez Limited 105 SV + Roro LC23 spool with 40lb YGK X8 Upgrade + 12 lb Izorline XXX leader + Northstar swimjig in bluegill + Xzone 3.5" mini swammer.

Spinnerbait smallie came on the already battle tested 2023 Vanquish 4000XG + Shimano Hard Rocker BB 8'3" MH + YGK G-Soul 40lb 2.0 PE...Freedom Tackle compact (smallmouth edition) 1/2 oz Speed Freak in gray shad + 3.5" mini Swammer.

Bonus points for those that can "decipher" the critter that's slightly protruding out of the smallie's gullet.  Haha.
