If the price is right, yes. But…in stock form, it’s definitely a reel requiring something heavier tied onto the other end of the line. Casting performance is subpar with lighter offerings, but a spool swap can definitely help. They are sharp reels, regardless.

That is a reel that I never owned and I had to do exactly what you did and ask a reliable source. His response to me was there are better reels for what I wanted it for but if I wanted to tinker just know that there limitation to what I could do 

i passed the buck on that reel and i dont regret it but maybe you will decide differently.
