Just caught my first "5 lb" smallie 3.5 on the bigger female and just over 2 on the male...I was wondering why all the sudden the fish got stronger and I could feel the fish pull with heavier torque, but still feel small head shakes? It was the weirdest thing when I saw the two fish together it explained it... There was also a third trailing fish I think I caught that fish later on on the same top water.

Old school Team Daiwa 1300i with a Daiwa BLX 6'10" ML Limber, EG 77.7 bone Showerblows modded with braid split rings and some red spots on the bottom, 10lb Phenix braid and 14lb fluoro leader. That reel is so tough, smooth and reliable... incredible drag.

@dragon1 CONGRATULATIONS BROTHER! What an amazing catch! Those Smallies are gorgeous! A catch of a lifetime, really, considering you caught 2 at once!

Thanks brother, I have caught two at once a few times, but nothing of size mostly dinks that were schooled up feeding on shad, a couple times on both topwater and cranks.

This was much more exciting...gonna be fun to do this on the A-Rig as well sometime, but it won't have the crazy feel of hanging on with a 6'10" ML Limber rod, haha.
