anyone have any experience with this one ? It feels like a great little hard bait rod and possibly light jig heads. Paired it with a pixy type r but that may change until I get to try it out in spring

Can’t say I do, but that R looks nice and clean. One of only a few reels I regret selling. Should be a great pairing. Taper is faster, correct?
