PT33SH with upgraded spool and sideplate bearings, Carbontex cut by Ian Shields, 100mm cheapo CF handle and Z2020 knobs....fresh 30lb Tufline Domin8 + 17lb CXX and went to town easily tossing 3/8 chatters to WP110, 3/4 spinnerbaits, 1/2 lipless.
The Monoblock Ito 100XRL and custom Mahogany blank GLoomis CBR 845 from circa 2001 ain't bad either.

OG Conquest 100 5.8:1 with Daiwa fitment 80 mm ZPI straight CF and OG Daiwa corks (thank you Greg for helping me get this done).
Bait Breath Evola 7'0" Med Mod-fast...one of my favorite all purpose rods, very akin to the OG MBR 843 IMX but deeper tip load.

Yeppers, undoubtedly...it's even more evident when you crack the different eras of reels open and compare the materials and components used inside.
