In light of RISE's post What was your first love?, it got me thinking about what single carbon fiber handle upgrade does the TD-itö 103M most deserve? I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the many mods that people have done over the last several years. It's really neat to see different interpretations of how to trick out that reel.
I think the Megabass Itö carbon handle is the single most fitting upgrade to the Itö. I think it embodies the ultimate enthusiast approach, paying homage to Yuki Itö, and of course any Daiwa made carbon handle is just perfectly built. I recall the LIN10 Mars had the same handle in 90mm and silver knob posts.
I guess I could settle for the 80mm version for aesthetic purposes. It wouldn't fish well in my hands though, 90mm is the smallest handle I like to use.
I almost always hate gold colors on any reel, with the Ch100Mg being the only exception because that shade of gold was nice. But for the sake of Japanese culture, I could excuse the gold knob posts on this one.
Curious what anyone else thinks?

Mr Ito is due for a couple of reel presentations.
I had 5 Itos at one time.
They were ginchy
^^^ agreed 90mm is on it. I had half dozen at one time, down to 4 now I think, though one I mounted an 86mm which I have not changed. But my point here, for these, even 85mm just isn't quite enough IMO. And, yes, I can actually feel that half mm either side in rotation. 95mm is too much, and I do not like 80 at all. Hmm...
