Specs line up perfectly for my preferred style of fishing.
Rod sleeve/packaging is the nicest I’ve seen yet and the additional, functional rod protector is a nice touch. Styling/aesthetics have gotten better and the cork main grip is what I’ve been waiting on from the newer Gen. Gripes?….at this price point, although I’m nitpicking, put a nice laser engraved butt cap on the rod instead of the cheap, unembelished EVA nub that they call a rear grip. Everything else is on point, IMO and I’m excited about this one….truly.
@Rise If you're excited about this rod then it has to be good! Looking forward to your thoughts.
Is this "Real Control" line up replacing the discontinued Racing Design?
Always learning...
@pkn8 to the best of my knowledge, not replacing the RD. I’ve heard that there’s something else coming…Lots of trickle-down from them, mixed in with some refined stuff.

well thats promising at least..
still the pictures of the 73h-SV ST Real control are great..
may have to give up something to get one.. or not.. and just get it..lol
@goldrod do it…don’t think, just do…I believe in you.
As for me, I had family in town this past weekend, so I could not get out on the water. Hoping this coming weekend allows me a day of testing.
