Haven’t been on here much lately but managed to get my first one of the year. Nothing crazy, but one of my favorite smaller creeks to fish at

Damn bro, that's a beautiful backdrop and sweet combo! Thanks for sharing.
Brother Jorrick, a good spinning combo is a necessity, whether it's for smaller inlines to jerkbaits and topwaters...or for me today, I used a Japanese style rock fishing 2 piece 8'3" spinning that is incredibly versatile, with an old school 2013 Daiwa Certate 2510R-PE 4.8 gear ratio and essentially straight 16lb YGK SS112 braid. The lipless that did most of the damage today is a translucent Sexy Shad 3/8 oz Spro Aruku shad. The 3/8 oz Sexy Shad squarebill was tossed on my Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming & Ian tuned custom Steez Limited 105SV with a 2019 Morethan PE spool with 40lb YGK X8 UPGRADE + 15lb Tatsu leader.
21.5" at 4.25 on the Boga, spawning female...
It took me several hours and checking out four locations to scratch out two bites on this cold NNW windy day...I finally found a protected cove with about 5-7 fow and some clean emerging grass. When I started fouling up on my spinnerbait, I immediately went to a 3/4 oz Duel Hardcore Vibe 75S in craw color and she hit within a half dozen casts. This bass was very strong, stayed down nearly the entire fight and just bull-doggged.
The gear: Spankey tuned 7.2:1 CVZ 103 Millionaire, fresh 12lb CXX, Evergreen Combat Stick 7'7" All-purpose MH mod-fast moving bait rod.
Christened the Twin Power FE 3000XG this morning...paired with a Daiwa BLX 6'10" ML Limber + 10lb Phenix Rods braid + 10lb Gama Polyflex mono. Old school Team Daiwa popper in one of my favorite colors, that is also very unique and effective.

Love this. Beautifully done, bruddah.
Much appreciated bruddah...as you so wisely reminded us. The Ride is all too short in this One Life we have.
