I will start off by saying I’ve had the privilege to be influenced by a dear friend. And also sent down a deep dark hole that doesn’t seem to end. Lol
Im a purist in many ways of life and that has also bled into my world of tackle. I have always loved the golden era of Megabass. I fish many of the older lures and have recently been getting into the reel side of things. But, the rods I’ve been weary and with not a lot of resources on the older stuff I didn’t know where to start. But here we are. My new addition to my collection and ever growing addiction.
Not knowing ‘where’ to start is natural, but the only way is to just do it. Which you did. Well done. Hey, the rest is easy. Other than knowing when to cut bait, as it might be said, the hardest part for me is not pulling the trigger of acquisition, but rather coming to peace with letting things go. For my part I’ve paid some stu-PID scratch on some items. I mean just dumb as all get out when I think back on it, yet with no regret, because SOMEONE had to do it. So, who’s it gonna be? Some other dude? I think not…
@one-love this is so true.. even from my first Megabass bait.. to my first casting reel, to my first what ever I had to start somewhere. That first step is always the most daunting but the joy it brings is so worth it. I appreciate the nudge I received to send me down this path. Lol
WOW... awesome procurements!
