Daiwa BLX 74MH Limber, Steez A2 7.1 paired with an OG Steez 100 dimpled spool, 20lb Sufix Elite mono, modified Booyah Covert 1/2 oz double Colorado spinnerbait with Yamamoto Hula Grub collar and SK Menace Grub trailer. This is my new PB smallie, going 20" and right at 5lbs on my 15lb Boga (I checked it a half dozen times for final weight). This fish was mean, had a strong bite force and even tore up my left hand middle finger a bit thrashing while I had her lipped...I had to actually cradle her like a baby to get her back into the water (plenty of slime on my jacket, lol).

Hell yea, brother. What a tank. Absolutely outstanding. Lovin the fact that you’re running that Steez dimpled in that reel.

Hey brother...I love that BLX 74MH Limber, it's one of my favorite all-time moving bait rods, trebles and single hook and topwaters, mostly 3/8-1.5 oz...even smaller A-rigs. I also caught my PB smallie June a couple of years back on this rod on a black Buzzjet and my modded CVZ 103 at 4 lbs 9oz. Then this past April 2025 I hit another PB smallie at 4.75 lbs on a spinnerbait again (on my Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming + modded Zillion SV103L) on the Stones river below Nice Mills dam.
There's a new 2025 Black Label 74MHRB, but it appears to be more powerful in the lower section and perhaps a little more stiff in the tip and is rated up to 3 oz versus 1.5 oz for the OG 2019 BLX.
I also have another OG Steez 100 dimpled spool in my 2019 Morethan 1000 PE and it absolutely launches 1/2 oz lipless on 15lb Izorline Platinum on my Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming.
Here's the next morning "finger hickey" that big girl left me.
