Yet another new stick from Evergreen.

Some BFS-ish ratings and a solid tip to boot. Exciting in my eyes. Looking forward to this one.

Interesting. This seems like a new model, right? I don’t remember them making a strider…

It’s nice that it is 6’7”, much nicer than the short gazelle.

Yes, new model. Just strange that they rate it a MH, yet BFS…

Once again, EG with their highly accurate ratings…SMH.

@one-love A lot of it is pure marketing… Casting Rods rated 1/8 oz have been around for as long as I remember. They used to be called “Medium-Light”, lol.

@saoulons EXACTLY... and this one rated up to sub half oz at that. Oh, and 12lb test is not 'finesse', not even close, nor the low rating 6lb in my mind. 6lb is ML territory, always has been. Now, 2lb or less, THAT's finesse. One might even argue 4lb if they like, I wouldn't argue. But not 6lb. And 12lb is just ridiculous. What's next? 20lb? 50?? To me, this whole 'bfs' thing goes well beyond simply marketing, it's a sham

sham (noun)

  1. a thing that is not what it is purported to be

sham (adjective)

  1. bogus; false
