What does everyone consider to be the ultimate 7 foot range, medium action JDM spinning rod used for finesse soft plastic bait fishing along shore lines and docks ?

What is the "Holly Grail" rod for this  applicaition?

What kind of taper do you prefer and what will be the primary rigging choices?

@rise Medium with fast action...enough tip to be able to cast plastic finesse baits like 4" senkos, or wacky rigged baits.

Someone would have to fish alot of rods to dictate what the Holy Grail would be. I'd give you a list of what I would be looking at to fit that bill. I have most of these brands, but none of the specific rods. * Although I will be picking up the Studio Composite SPN75 when it is re-released, if I can get my hands on one.

Studio Composite PARADOX SPN 75 M

Olympic Vigore 20GVIGS-742M

Designo Wraith Effin

Tulala Harmonix Staccato70LBS-HX

Zenaq Spirado Blackart S0-70 Wide Shooter

7ft is not a typical JDM size, so they are few and far between.

I'm sure I am missing some, but that is most of the top tier in offerings.

X7 Simoom for me… Although it’s not quite 7’ (6’ 10”). Evoluzion Spin Elseil II is pretty good too although not sure it’s worth the high price tag.

Holy grail is a big word though, since I’ve never heard of most of the rods listed above…

I recently acquired the Steez 6'8" MH Real Control, use it with 16lb braid w/16lb leader.  3", 4", 5" soft plastics.

My other spinning outfit is the RAID Japan "Power Nose", 7', also excellent for light jigs and soft plastics.

how do you like the real control ?

Daiwa 23 Steez Real Control RC C70MH-LM caught my eye as well as the 6'10" rod

LOVE IT!!!  Used it with 4" Fishroller w/nail head, O.S.P. 3.5 DoLive Shad and a few other finesse plastics and it gets the job done!  Light but powerful, sensitivity to spare and good backbone.  I'm thinking about getting the C70MH when it's released.
