Picked up a righty Ambassadeur: Catfish Pro. Local shop had it down to $218 after tax.

Not a fan of the stock power handle, so threw on a YT proto 95mm handle that I removed the black anodizing off of, donned with DRT flats.

Should be good for fall channels and lake sturgeon.

Just needs a new rod now.

Frig man, that's a helluva nice catfish reel...gonna be way more than what's needed for channels, but lake sturgeon, flatheads and blues will be properly handled.

Also, what does it take to get those DRT flats to fit Shimano and Daiwa handles?

If ever there was a perfect Implementation of the flat knobs… Here it is. That thing is so freaking sexy.

How did you strip down the handle? Inquiring minds want to know.

@dragon1 they're the same fitment as Shimano knobs, so you'll need the appropriate spacers on the shaft. Otherwise, 2 bearings on the bottom of the knob.

@rise oven cleaner and oodles of patience. I did enough just to remove the anodizing. Prefer the machined look, because  I'm really too lazy to polish the handle lol.
