I don't frog a lot, but when I do...

OG Zillion Type R.

2019 Morethan PE SV XH.

Smaller open water frogs and toads are a blast on my Ian tuned Steez Limited SV 105 with 7.9 EX brass gears and drag washers + Carbontex.

Years ago I was using a Chronarch D7, TDX HSDF, and a TDZ Type R +.

If I were to choose just one for topwater frog only it would have to be Deps-DR100ZX. No drag at all, purpose built for application

Yeah man, and these are badass looking reels.  I think that you own a few modded to have an adjustable drag?

I second this. Been my primary froggin reel for years. No drag mod needed. With line out it’s outstanding on the hookset at distance, and perfect for wrenching em out of/skiing across slop. SV103 and OG Zilly R are secondary choices for me.

@dragon1 that is correct. I use them for more than just froggin' is why though. But if for only topwater frog, or whatever slop topwater for that matter, no change needed. Deps nailed it.

I never thought about a TDZ Type R+ as a frogging reel, did you modify it?

@goldrod - Jorrick, all I did was add a longer handle and Carbontex.  It was 30 lb braid for light cover and open water on a custom Shikari SHX MB845, that was such a fun combo for lots of techs.
