Since switching back to Daiwa reels Zillions and Steez, I haven't adjusted my handle side tension knob. I was thinking about adjusting the HLC cast control knob. Am I being a bit too ridiculous?

Not at all, that’s what they are there for. I fine tune all my reels depending technique/weights. Get it to where it’s right for you, brother. There’s almost never a “default” setting.

Okay, I made adjustment for 1/2 oz @ #10 on the dial. It was a clockwise adjustment of 3/4-1 full turn

Righty or lefty can make a difference regarding clockwise. lol but I love playing with my knobs. it's like living on the edge.
