This looks like an amazing rod, congrats on the acquisition!

This is an interesting model with solid tip. They also make a MH 7’1”. They both seem to be aimed at bottom contact?? Although the marketing on these is a bit confusing, lots of technology and big statements on greatness but very little on applications.

Curious to hear your thoughts once you’ve given it a turn. Do you know what you intend to use it for? I would be curious to hear about how it does with 1/2 oz jigs & t-rigs.

Thank you!!

I got it for deep football jigs, pitchin' jigs and swimjigs, Jika Rigs and some soft swimbaits in the 5"-7" range.  My fishin' hole starts at real shallow grass and rocks down to 45' at the dam.  I looked at the 6'11", the 7'1" and the 7'3" but I wanted to use some heavier jigs in the 1 oz including trailer.

The water temp should be in the low 50's by the next time I'm able to hit the water next week.  Fingers crossed!

Will do update ASAP

I’ve been fishing it for a while now and it’s a great stick. Love it for deep water jig duties. Plenty of power and sensitivity is very good. Balances out nicely with a six-ish ounce reel on board. Congrats on the new addition. Enjoy!

That was one of the reasons I got it!  Thanks for the pix!

I was planning on all 3 Real Controls + the Diffuser.  Water was muddy but such is life this time of year, I forgot to pack my meds when I left so I had to leave the water earlier than planned.

I am prefering 4 rods on deck as opposed to 7.

I’m with you on less Rods up front. That’s scary coming from me, who usually has as many as possible on deck. I’ve started bringing fewer combos with me and focusing on mixing up which ones I bring each 2 to 3 outings, So that I can focus more on each combo. Simplifying how many Rods I have with me, while tough for somebody like me, has been a huge benefit in the grand scheme of things.
