Stunning combos. I will say that I’m glad that the USDM Steez rods moved away from EVA for this current iteration…And styling was stepped up a notch. Gotta ask…Which one do you prefer? Noticeable differences in sensitivity?

Agreed Rise! The cork is a nice touch or change of pace

Beauties Goldrod! Those FL largemouth are in deep trouble 😉

I agree on the cork and I also have the same questions about the two bottom contact rods.

There’s is a significant difference in them in my humble opinion. The new model obviously weighs less but in the picture you can see how much further up the rod they placed the handle and that’s makes a difference.

if I were fishing cover I prefer the older model but open water structure the newer model. I hope to fish deep grass with them both tomorrow. The newer model also has three double foot guides from the reel whereas the older model only has one.

the older model is more heavy medium heavy and the new model medium heavy h e a v y

I have two of the older models and curiosity got the better of me so I got the new model  if I had to pick one it would be the newer model if my goal was JIG specific. I feel like the older model allows you to pitch pads and cover better

I’ve got to spend more time but that’s where I am

With a view like this

I wish I could bring them to work.  Water is crystal clear and grassy

@goldrod...that's good stuff. Solid info. For some reason, I couldn't bring myself to buy any of the new USDM offerings...yet. I own a few Racing Designs, and felt like the USDMs would be a little redundant in my lineup, not to mention, I've heard the tapers aren't all what they are described to be. BUT...I owe it to myself to not harbor any contempt prior to investigation. Need to try a few.

@rise

i desperately wanted a racing design jigga stick. Couple deals fell through and when i finally pulled the cord to get one. My money was returned. Sucks cause I have the racing design texas rig special.

these bottom contacts were purchased because I couldn’t get what I wanted.

my next purchase will be the Deps sidewinder bush viper unless someone tells me that it’s not a good rod
