Just wanted to check in and thank everybody again for all your participation in making this special little place what it is. I’ve been quiet due to some big life changes happening. After years of going back-and-forth on the idea, the time has come for me to finally leave California.
Life has a funny way of kicking you in the balls and getting you to make those tough decisions when you least expect it…that’s certainly been the case recently. That said, we are gearing up to start a new chapter in a new location. It’s both exciting and absolutely stressful, but I know it’s the right thing to do and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.
I know you guys will hold down the fort and keep this train rolling. I will be present and checking in often, as always…along with posting up some redundant items for sale, but just know I’m focusing on the move for a bit. After the move, there will be a big push on the sites…there is a plan being executed behind closed doors that im excited to see come to fruition.
I’m also happy to announce that we have another member on our team that will be aiding with upgrades to all the sites, as we plan to make things even better around here. I be sharing some pics/vids of my Man Cave that I’ve been building/fine tuning over the past few years, hoping to inspire someone else. Unfortunately, it will all be coming apart in the next few months.
I look forward to more growth and more time geeking out with my fellow enthusiasts. Many thanks, brothers. Grateful for all of you.
As one door closes, another opens...make sure to light your path brightly as you exit through one corridor and travel upon your new path..
Paths are always changing in Life...be strong, hopeful, courageous and prepared, and never lose sight of The Mountain.
Best of success, health, happiness and prosperity to you and yours brother.
I know everyone wishes you the best and trusts that this will be a good move for you. I'm sure more than a few hope that you will be moving closer to them! So, where are you going??
Sincerely appreciate the well wishes, brother and I trust it will be too.
In a perfect world, a Tackle Porn gathering to meet up and fish with all you fellow gearheads will happen before it’s too late…one can dream.
At the moment, the plan is to head up to Washington where both my mother and brother now reside. My mom is getting ready to break ground on her “forever” home and I’ll be helping with the build over the next year. Additionally, it just so happens my brother and his wife are very early into a remodel, to which I can also be of service during down time on my mom’s site.
After that, it’s looking like we may permanently end up in Oregon, somewhat close to my woman’s family, whom I love dearly. We are also considering other states, but the area her family lives in, lines up beautifully with what we both want. Lots of fishing, hiking, quality people and a simpler life that gives us the ability to focus more on passion projects (such as this one) and spend more time with those closest to us. Plus, Oregon is still close enough to Cali, making it easier to visit my son and friends, or hit a select few lakes that I cherish down here. Definitely beats the hell out of the cost of living here, long commutes, sitting in traffic, being stressed out, restless, irritable and discontent. This move is long overdue.

Beautifully said, my friend. Head is up and we are moving forward. I’m confident that things are going to be great on the other side of this. Thank you for the well wishes, brotha. Grateful for you. 🙏🏼👊🏼💥

Wishing you all the best, brother. Your family is very blessed to have you around. A TP gathering sounds like an awesome idea if we can swing it!
Now that you're becoming a smallmouth guy, I am happy to adopt all of your largemouth gear
Hahaha...yeah, Oregon has some big largemouths, there is vast wilderness outside of the cities like Portland. Additionally, he will have access to salmonids, sturgeon, walleye, ocean fishing as well. It's not too far from Idaho and the Snake River as well.

Darn, you've foiled my plan to get my hands on Greg's amazing gear...
My wife is from Vancouver and I have fished a bunch up there. Amazing white sturgeon fishing, salmon, trout, etc. I have fished for largemouth up there too (it's not that popular); they have introduced the species in select waters that are not connected to salmon waters. The fishing was pretty good and very low pressure.
Best of luck on your move. I know it is a hassle but in time it will be worth it to get the fuque out of corrupt Cali. You will find new fishing opportunities and species to target in your new stomping grounds. You have a wonderful family I can appreciate your sacrifice for everyone involved. There is some great brown bass fishing in Washington and the surrounding area that I know you will get dialed in. You may have to pick up a fairy wand once in awhile but I am sure you will love it! Oh and when you start unloading those redundant X7 EMs let me know 🤣
@kickerfish1 thanks, brother. I’m definitely looking forward to new waters and new species. I agree…the journey will be cherished and I look forward to the next challenge.
