Cold, windy, cloudy and post rains from last night and early this morning. Walking the muddy shorelines on broken rocks since the water is still down from winter pool.
I landed three of four today, losing a fat female bass on the rocks that was about the same length as the longest of the day (~21") but fatter...first fish of the day was long with a huge head and mouth, barely 4 lbs, she was skinny and still putting on fat for the spawn. Second of the day was a healthy 17" and 2 1/2 lbs, and the last fish was ~19" and came in just under 3 3/4 on my Boga grip.
Pre-spawn staging as the females move up to spawning flats and are on the feed...water turbulence and discolored water has thrown off the typical red/spring craw crankbait bite and Colorado bladed spinnerbaits with compact bream and crayfish colors are drawing better bites when strategically placed where they be....
Spinnerbaits are modified Booyah Covert single and double Colorado Hildebrandt gold blades, one has a 4" Yamamoto spider grub soft plastic body and the other is a custom skirt I put together with green pumpkin/blue/chartreuse belly strands and a 3.8" Keitech Fat Impact.
Apologies for any duplicate pics...it's hard to see the files on my phone. Lol
Great Catches Man..
Nice setups man, what rods are they?

Hey Jorrick, thanks brother. Actually yesterday I caught six and the largest one that threw my spinnerbait was so fat, only half her body was able to come out of the water...granted it was like 2' of water depth.
The pairings:
Tuned Zillion Type R/TKIC Super Stallion/15lb PLine CXX.
Modded 2019 Steez Morethan PE SV 7.1:1/Megabass LWL Super Diablo II/14 lb Sufix Siege
That SD on the left just looks so beautiful
The LwL 30th Anniversary series are aesthetically appealing for sure, and to add, this Super Diablo II is one of my all-time favorites for that 1/2-3/4 oz total weight spinnerbaits on non-braid line.
Dayum! Outstanding day out there, brother. Good stuff…🫵🏻💪🏻🤙🏼
