No Bee-Eff-Ess rods for smollll baits!

Nonethless what do you all think about these compared to what MB has been currently making? Step up? Step down? Still using pyrofill?

Came here to post this, thanks, @likefisher.

I haven’t bought an MB stick since trying out a couple P5’s (Sold quickly thereafter), and before that…2016 Destroyers that were also sold off. That said…how am I supposed to pass up on new Slant iterations?….I’m in.

Not crazy about the fore-nut on these, but they are integrating “old tech” per-se, and I’m a bit sad & happy (at the same time) that they are reintroducing the slants.

As far as better or worse goes?

I see it as a lateral move, with a slight shift backwards, but the Ti-infused blanks were/are durable, so I’ll at least try the slants out.

The lock nuts are 🤮🤮🤮

The spinner slants are really, really gaudy

Incredibly disappointed in aesthetics. Lock not doesn’t look to be machined, more like a casting and that’s a serious downgrade. Package as a whole is not attractive to me at all, unfortunately. What hope I had upon seeing the press release, is now gone.

Having been part of the MB golden age of releases in the 2010s, these just feel like copy-cat reissues... Kinda like a remix or older songs by poppy entertainers.

But the P5 line is super popular, so maybe these will appeal to those who love the P5 line? Maybe it is my age and maybe it's being jaded, but these new MB lines keep triggering feelings of "they don't make them like they used to". I am mildly intrigued by "The Destruction" model, for which there was a legendary X4 version "back in the day", lol. We shall see. But not sure that we need more model versions of Elseil, Cliffhanger, Griffon, Diablo, 110-stick, etc....

Since the P5 line sells for $500, these will sell for more than that.

Well said, my friend. Definitely a double-edged sword to have been a part of those magical years. On one hand, you had those experiences of pure, adrenaline-filled excitement when MB (and others) introduced new products that brought forth, what seemed to be, much larger steps forward in both technology and aesthetics. Downside is that those years set the bar so high that it’s become tougher to produce and/or find newer items that “wow “us anymore. We saw the best being brought to the table and with MB, it’s just never been the same since about 2014/15. It’s all felt very much “regurgitated“ over the last decade.

I can easily see these falling into the 699.00 bracket. That’s not saying, they warrant the price tag, I’m just going by what the past has dictated with each series.
