I got this jig in without a weedguard and I have had these swimbaits. They are the Evergreen head shaker swimbaits. These swimbaits are heavy and I was not successful as I would like to be with them so i am going to try it this way.. the jig seems to be a good fit.

Anyone using the Head Shaker Swimbaits by EG?

I had a buddy from Singapore for about a year, would fish with me at several bodies of water in Colorado.  He used to set up his swimjigs in this manner and he did well with it.

i was able to go to a pond and look at this rig and the action looks great. i purposely got it snagged and each time i watch the head of the jig act like a fulcrum and pivot the rig over the wood. The swimming action is impressive too even at slow speeds. So if the Lord allow me rise tomorrow i am on the water with it.
