Looking forward to your thoughts, as I’m seriously considering one for a spinning rod that does not have a mate. The aesthetics of this variant have my attention. I didn’t care for the last version that was more of a deep blue…this is more my style.

I think Daiwa got smaller with the new design.  The 4000 is about the size of the old 3000, approximately.  It's matched with the Real Control 6'8" spinning MH for baits between 1/8 and 1/2 oz.  Weather should break next week

Very nice, Blitz! I need a 2500 to pair with my Designo spinner and I admit…spinners are not my specialty by any means. Even though I have a few rare ones on the shelf, I avoid them at all costs, but I’ve started fishing for trout a few times a year with the girlfriend’s family. I could remain stubborn and keep utilizing BFS gear for this (which I will in some capacity), but it’s time to break down and grab one to fish and not worry about it. I keep eyeing the older exists, but this might be the one…

Sick pairing!

I have a Certate that is a few years older and that is such a smooth reel with a great drag.

Let us know how this new one compares to other spinners like prior gen Certates once you have more time with it

Had an hour or so with the Certate 4000, working out quite well.  The wider diameter spool allows the line to flow off a bit more smoothly.  No fish, water temp was about 43º F

more to follow ...

More on the water time and really liking it, balances with the Steez 6'8" MH Real Control.  A couple fish pix would be nice but ...

We are ok with combo pics as well, don’t always have to be fish in the shot…just sayin.

Im inches away from grabbing one for the only rod I own that doesn’t have a mate…
