Saw these on the Megabass website, mostly interested and I dig the split grip options. But no one, and I mean no one of these manufacturers understands what specs a swimbait rod should have.

But I am thinking one of these rods might make a good home for my Steez Limited.

'Organic Fiber'?? So, it's biodegradable? What has marketing come to...

Didn't the old "Carrot Stix" rod have some sort of plant fiber in the blank?

From reading other people's reviews on other forums and websites, they don't seem to be AMAZING but still hold decent quality. I'm still hesitant on pulling the trigger myself...

Reminds me of Daiwa and all their recent "Hyper" inventions with their new reels. The more confusing they make it the more they convince themselves consumers will buy it. Straight stupid...

If the material they used sped up global warming 1000%, I'd still buy it. All I care about is performance, not my rods affect on the environment.

Always learning...

@pkn8…Speak on it 👊🏼

Agreed on the marketing “schemes” these days. Hype it to the point that the consumer is overwhelmed and feels like it’s something life-changing, so they must have it. Most of the differences these days are subtle, but the market is saturated, so you have to go to extreme measures to keep consumers attention. Sucks, but it’s the nature of the beast.

Most everything MB does with their rods in recent years is all blending together. Most of the blanks look and feel so similar in hand, with slight differences in weight/performance. One main gripe from me… They need to stop with only producing sanded/painted finishes and do another run of “raw”…X7-type/cross weave reinforced blanks on the “Next Gen/P6” sticks, that focus on durability along with sensitivity. Stop worrying about being the lightest, give us a balanced stick that will hold up to normal use/abuse, along with transmitting signals clearly from the other end of the line and looks the part - is reminiscent of the MB from yesteryear. X10 had my attention for a minute, but I lost interest quickly.

@one-love “GREEN” rods, bruh…there’s no marketing ploy behind this…just good for the planet…right?

Jokes aside, show me actual performance gains/benefits on paper/etc, Like EG and other manufacturers do, otherwise…✌🏼

They are already available second hand here in Japan so I probably won't get one for a while. Plus I don't care for the new stuff... lol If it's good, it should speak for its self.
