That is a badass rod...just got mine a couple of months ago.  Such an under the radar bottom contact and single hook moving bait rod.

Good luck with your search.

I didn’t realize till a conversation recently how versatile it is.. I had been under the impression that it is a bottom contact rod mostly

It's not a true fast, it's JDM Regular fast, very light, sensitive, and powerful for a MH.  It loads very evenly and deep into the blank (a little less than half way), all the while the blank is very crisp and responsive.  I personally feel it has the power of a MH + because so much of the blank loads in casting and hookset, but there's enough give for other single hook moving baits. I've got 16lb T-7 fluoro on it right now with an Ian tuned 2014 Steez Limited 105SV...it'll have a swimjig, 3/8-1/2 finesse jig, 1/8-1/4 Jika rig and 3/8 - 5/8 spinnerbait + trailer on it for this fall & winter seasons.

FWIW, I think a finesse frog and 3/8-1/2 buzzbait for short - mid range would do well with it using braid/braid + leader.

Love reading this! I was thinking it could be my dedicated bottom contact rod for 5/16 and 3/8 jigs

I fish from a kayak and pretty much only river and depth really isn’t a thing till you get into the flowages later in the year so having rods that are versatile are wonderful for me since I can only carry 4 comfortably

Swim jig and spinnerbait are right up there in use for me, thanks for sharing

also.. I haven’t taken the dive into JDM reels, pretty much just rods and some lures. I’ll need to sell a non vital organ if I start looking into reels

Haha yeah for sure man...there are plenty of really nice older OG Daiwa and Shimano reels out there for reasonable prices. Most folks hold on to them or they are snatched up quick when they are listed.
