I’ve definitely splurged this year…but I’ve got some stuff I can’t pass up with the sales, lately.

Electronics upgrades, terminal tackle, rods…even added some classics…but I’ll post that stuff in the mail call section. That’s said…I’d love to hear what some of you have planned/grabbed/are grabbing.

Santa has been good. He is taking me on a 7 night 8 day trip to Exuma to chase bonefish next week, then a trip to FL at Christmas to see the family, fish and check out the progress of a custom rod. Speaking of which, after 6 months of searching/buying travel rods that have not made me happy, I bit the bullet and have commissioned a custom build for a 3-piece medium light saltwater spinning rod. Since I didn't know anyone in Japan..I found a gent that was willing to listen to me wax on and make it a blend of my Studio Composite 7'5 SPN and Harmonix Staccatto 7'8. Since quality 3-piece blanks are few and far between state stateside, he's getting a CTS Air blank from New Zealand and then appointing a "Maestro Maeda's straw setting" that will be similar to the Tulala's. Ti/TOR of course (The builder was like "WTF") Asthetics will be close the the SC.

New Steez bait casting reels.....you can never have enough. Picked them up brand new and very affordable from Japan Tackle. Scooped up a few mint conditioned O.G. Steez reels from EBay Japan, they are being sent out to Ian for his magic touch and conditioning as we speak.

As always, taking advantage of all the Black Friday sales to aggressively restock on all the bass fishing baits, fishing line, and terminal tackle for next seasons tournaments.

Always looking for a few used O.G. JDM bottom contact rods !!!

Really looking forward to the Steez Real Control C611MH-SV and Evergreen Kaleido Super Raven RS coming next month, I might get both and keep 1 eventually, both are rated pretty awesome for my versatile style with bank fishing.

@kietpham looking forward to the super raven as well and hoping it’s not too close to the Stallion RS. I will say I’ve enjoyed the Real Control 73, but it hasn’t knocked my socks off. Solid performance though and the 611 looks promising.

@blksheepfishing those OG Steez are timeless. Still keep up with and outperform most current offerings.

Now that is next-level dirty, brother. Can’t wait to see pics of the trip and the build. Got me drooling over here. 🙌🏻👏🏻

@kickerfish1 I actually still need to add a Ltd as well.

I had the Steez LTD SV TW shallow spool 8:5 model. Love the color and everything about it. Got a nice deal on the 7:1 normal spool sized one so snagged it. I have the 34 mm KTF Neo spool in it hoping it is the right spool for 1/4 to 5-16 mag finesse baits on the Cristobal.

@rise nicee, I still abusing my RC 63UL last couple months, gotta have the thumbs up for the Daiwa blank this generation of RC, much more powerful yet lightweight, really looking forward for the C611MH, I just ordered yesterday, hopefully it can come soon so I can have a post about it for  you guys. Can't go wrong with Kaleido RS as usual, very curious of how their new tech for the reel seat would affect the sensitivity of the blank since its 13gr lighter just by replacing the material for that real seat.

Neo’s will do well at that 5/16 mark but really shine at 3/8 and up.

That’s the kind of abuse I love seeing. Beautiful catches, my friend. That red tail must’ve been an incredible battle…🙌🏻👏🏻

Agreed, the RC blanks are well thought out and executed. The 73 is light for its length, but my only complaint is that I feel like they could use some nicer finishing touches..at least on the casting rods, that is. The trim and butt ends are very plain. For the money, there should be a bit better balance in aesthetics and function, but I’m really nitpicking.

Yes, the reel seat will be interesting to test out. Hoping the new material is durable while transmitting vibrations in an effective manner. We shall see soon enough and I look forward to your post, as well.
