This fish hit a 1 oz double willow spinnerbait with a fluke trailer in about 8 fow at the edge of a dock yesterday around 1 PM. They are just now coming put of the winter slump. She was just under 8#, but it looks like she needs to put on some weight for the coming spawn, tbh. Not bad for my first fish on the combo, though. Carbonlite glidebait rod and the new Tatula 150 SV TW reel w/ 20# SK Tour Grade mono. I can't say enough good things about this reel. It holds a great amount of line for its size, it's smooth and it casts really well with 3/8 and up. It would probably go lower, but that rod and line limits how low I can go, and I havent put it on another rod since I got it back in December. For perspective on the fish, the rear grip from butt to back of reel seat is 16".
Post the pic, bro! I don't want to do it for you and ruin your fun!
