So I ordered carbontex drag and some frame bearings for my TDZ 103ML based upon online recommendation of sizes, and the 8x12x3.5 fit under the star drag over the IAR roller fine, and it feels good, but I did notice that the 3.5mm thickness is more than the bearing that came out of this TDZ originally.
Anyone have any input and the actual frame bearing sizes for the TDZ, TDX HSDF? I have 8x12x3.5 for under the crank side handle, 5x8x2.5 bearing under the driveshaft and 5x9x3 for the one under the CCC/top of the pinion gear.
TIA
Great question…I’ve never measured em up!
Greg, do you generally just use the 8x12x3.5? It's working fine otherwise.
It's all good brother. I got the noted frame bearing to fit/work, did a full reel break down and maintenance, added carbontex and gifted it and my custom GLoomis CBR 845 mahogany blank as a combo to a local friend. He has always been a $100 or less Lew's/Abu or fishing expo rod & reel guy. This combo along with the older Calais 201A, and a couple of OG Metanium XT LH reels that I gave him last year, are the best he's ever owned and used.
