I have a friend here that only fishes LH and loves to crank.  He won't find anything as nice as this TDZ for $100.

He has no idea...he's a "Lews and OEM Abu guy"...his best reels are the three Chronarch 101B's and one Calais 201A that he got from me (I gifted him two of the CH 101B's for his teenage step brother for his fishing league). Although I also gifted him a near new Abu Orra Winch as well, which is a solid performing value reel.

I completed a full teardown and service...main and pinion show very little wear, but I was unable to track down the scratchy frame bearing, and even after applying bearing grease there is still some roughness to one of the bearings. 

I'll place an order for some replacement bearings and this should enough for me to do three reels with 3 x upper pinion frame bearings, 3 x lower pinion bearings, 3 x outside driveshaft support bearings.

Shimano is actually out of part # 10RKR, the 5x8x2.5 that is the bearing at the base of the driveshaft, but I don't believe that's where the scratchiness is coming from.

I'll continue to post updates on this TDZ 103ML as I work towards making it my first 7.1 TDZ!
