Over recent years, it’s slowly become one of my top 3 favorite rigs to toss. Better in scenarios where a more vertical drop is needed. With the right tip section, it does well in cover/structure. Love the action with the right bait aboard and its casts very nicely.
Going back a couple years up to recent outings utilizing this setup have yielded great results, including a trio of 7+lb fish. The RAID Bishop and EG Black Raven Extreme have been perfect for tossing these rigs. Zero Dan and Gammy Gika rigs are both nice, but the Zero Dan gets the nod, as it utilizes a swivel to tie onto, thus eliminating any possible line twists. Decoy did a great job with R&D on this one, IMO.
Anyone else out there tossing these as often as I am lately?
I still have no idea what this rig is or all about. I fish like it is the 1970s. It sounds like something I should do some research on. The title of this thread had me thinking this was about some sort of dance craze but I digress.
Lol, get with the times, brother.
