A sweet buttery Brown caught during a recent Montana trip. Took a 30mm Japanese handmade balsa. It was my first fish of the trip and it set the bar a little high for the remainder of the trip. I'd guestimate it at 22 or 23 inches. As most places, fishing pressure is unreal in the primary rivers in Montana. This was caught while wading the Bitterroot River near Darby. I had to find areas that were difficult to to access via raft or wading before I started catching fish. On the weekends these rivers look like a Trump boat parade with fishing guides.
