Sold my Megabass tomahawk, Otomat and sadly old school 7’1”compile x

got in Steez topgun and harrier

but I’m looking for something and I just can’t seem to get it. I was thinking the Valkyrie 7’1” medium heavy

or even the st croix legend glass 6’10” medium heavy

ive pmd so many people concerning a sedition rod but nada. Had a jigga stick in sight’s just needed the PayPal and the deal fell through. It’s just been a bummer

I've still got a like-new Compile X sitting on the rack collecting dust despite knowing how capable a rod it is...can't seem to let it go.

What are you wanting to know about Sedition and which model are you eyeing? I'm assuming the White Falcon 7? I own most of the Seditions, so I'm happy to help if I can.

@rise

I purchased a Valkyrie 7’1” mh today just to see if I like it. I truly love the Harrier rod and I mean I love that rod.

you are correct on the sedition model. I’m just wanting a good sedition square bill rod for 1/2-3/4 square bills. I just want to experience the line up. I liked the tomahawk rod but I didn’t love it. It just didn’t have the power that i thought it should. I’m interested in the sedition but it’s just not a common rod.

@goldrod the White Falcon 7 is excellent for what you’re mentioning, but it is a very unique glass rod and is soft in the upper section of the blank. Backbone is on point, though, but it’s nothing like a composite cranking stick in the way it fishes. Taper feels a bit fast when casting but quickly goes parabolic under load. I use mine for square bills and anything up to mid-running, smaller cranks. I do, honestly. prefer composite or hybrid cranking sticks for the most part, but the WF7 is just too sexy and obscure to ignore. Surprisingly light for glass, as well…but again, you’ll have to be ok with that traditional soft, glass feel. I’ve never dumped a fish on it, and I’ve landed up to 3.5-4lb fish with it. Handles em like a dream. I’d love to see a hybrid version of this stick, though, with maybe a couple of additional inches added.
