Hello Gentlemen,
I am thinking about picking up an Adrena rod to pair with my XT1000. I was curious if anyone has any feedback on the following models:
•6'11M+
•7'2M
•7'2MH
•7'2H

I understand the 6'11M+ to be one of the more outstanding models from this lineup. I plan to fish a wide range of baits with the Scorp. So what I am most looking for is a rod that balances and pairs well with that reel. This setup is a luxury, so it doesn't really need to fit any particular criteria. More of an excuse to pick up an Adrena while they are still in production.
Picture just because. Those knobs were test fitted and worked, but won't be my final tune.
Thanks guys!

No experience with that model but as someone that owns all the 50 series reels I think they pair well with a medium powered rod. The 6’11 medium would be a perfect pairing for so many 1/4 to 1/2 oz apps
I have a ~ 2015 Shimano-Jackall PA 70H-SB coming, and my modded/tuned Scorpion 1000XT with 7.7 Brenious brass gears will likely get most of the duty on that rod. So while most folks like the Scorpion 1000XT for lighter duties, I find that it handles 1/4 - 3/4 just fine, I am more about the length being 7'0" or less, although the Scorpion 1000XT will balance a 7'2" rod fine if the rod isn't overly tip heavy.
In short, I vote 6'11" Med+.
Man…call me the black sheep, but I like the those big power knobs on there…I say try em out.
As for the Adrenas, I don’t have any experience with them. Wish I could help, but look forward to hearing which one you choose.
Friggin' love the taper on this rod! Bends deep, has more than GLoomis 847 power and more backbone than the MBR844.
Doesn't load as deep as a GLoomis CB845, but will likely handle almost 2x the lure weight.
Fits my style of fishing near perfect.
The Megabass Legend Works Limited 30th Anniversary Super Diablo II and Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming are both very similar to this rod... but this tip is crisp and loads deep with a stronger backbone than the Super Diablo II and about the same as the Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming. This is going to be a very versatile badass rod with braid + leader.
Absolutely, I'm glad to contribute what I can on the TP Community. FWIW, this rod loads deeper in the upper 1/3 than does the Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming (which has a glass scrim and clear coat on the blank), is noticeably lighter, and has comparable backbone. For preliminary load testing, I think the EG Swimming will load and launch bulkier/heavier baits better, like say 1/2-3/4 oz chatters and 1 oz topwaters, but I would rather toss DT10+ type cranks on this rod...and it's 7'0" vs the EG Swimming 7'2".
FWIW, Evergreen fit and finish, especially on the guides and all throughout the rod, is the clear winner.
Ill get some in the water time shortly.
Went with the 6'11M+, this rod is magical, mods to follow on the Scorp soon...
