Wondering if its worth it, even though the signature has nothing to do with performance, i assume resale may rise an eyebrow if i didnt like it?
Im looking for something withing the next two months.. i was thinking another effete rod but im not sure probably a trolling motor lol but still i only have one ever rod

This was inevitable given recent events. I sure hope there’s no revisions on performance. One of my all time favorite XH-powered sticks. Fills a small niche incredibly well. What are you planning to try out with the rod if you do get it?

I've been on the fence about getting it merely because the signature isn't on it. To me that is part of the reason one wants to acquire it but as far as techniques I would just t rig and mainly 3/8-1/2 jigs maybe a little higher but just casting jigs not football

It will shine with a bit more total weight. 1/2 is nice, but up towards 3/4+ total is where this rod really comes to life.

I finally got around to picking up a Rapid Gunner RSR. Went to Shimreels for the purchase. I can confirm Goldrod that the stock Shimreels has is from the original run complete with Imae’s signature on the reel seat. He has 2 examples left in stock. Sometimes one has to go looking to Malasia when one dragged their feet with the Japanese retailers.
Also, it’s zero worries on shipping. Shimreels is one of the best in the business when packing and shipping rods securely. The price they show online is what you pay with no additional shipping fee. So it’s also a decent total price for importing a JDM EG stick.

@rise Thank You.. I have read your article so many times that I knew i had to get my hands on one. I was discouraged when i read that the signature was no longer on them for the updated version and to add to that I had to spend some money unexpectedly and of course it came out of my fishing funds first.

Rod received and the postal service damaged the tube. Rod looks in tact though
