I've slowly been diving into Evergreen rods. I got the Heracles EG Swimming but sold it. It didn't have the "it" factor for me and found other rods that could do the same job. I pulled the trigger on a Rapid Gunner a little while ago (Shout out to RISE) and am excited to see what its all about.

What are some "must haves" from Evergreen?

Always learning...

I only have one but I’m interested to know the suggestions as well. One thing I’ve been considering is the RSR.

I noticed that the lengths of these rods are pretty standard. No 7’2” or Something like that

I may be mistaken but “The Leopard” is the rod the American Evergreen 7’3” Jack Hammer is based on.

The taper/power of the 7' RSR allows it to fish much longer than it actually is.

The whole EG Kaleido, FACT series are outstanding, but it depends on what type of fishing you prefer to do. For me, the TKIC and TKLC Super Stallions are other must-haves. TKIC Gunslinger is another favorite for me, along with the Black Raven trio of rods.

Has anyone fished the Dire Wolf 7? Seems very similar to the SS (TKIC) on paper.

It's hard to answer the OPs questions because of the potential breadth of must haves no longer in production. It seems like frequently mentioned must haves are the OG super stallion for casting and OG spin cobra for spinning.

I've been slow to act after the launch of the 'new' Insprirares (R's and GTs). These are far from new anymore it seems, but still very new to me. It sounds like the OP has one of the main must haves from this series as far as what others have reported in the Rapid Gunner. In addition to that one, my own must haves have been the Grand Cobra RS and the Dire wolf wild 7 in the the Gt-R configuration. I pre-ordered the super stallion aurora edition, which I guess will ship around December. Finally, I will eventually get the cougar elite 7RS.

I fish shallow water with significant vegetation in Florida.

Why these from the current production EG rods?

Grand cobra-Serves as an all purpose bass fishing rod in FL in my hands.

Rapid gunner RSR--jig rod. See article by Rise on this site for the deets. Nuff said.

Dire wolf wild 7-moving bait rod that works great in my hands for single hooks and gets the job done with bigger trebles. Very versatile rod overall in my hands. I've posted about it here.

Super stallion aurora--The OG is a must have. I'm hoping this one will live up.

Cougar elite 7RS (not yet acquired)-Based on my research and the way I fish, I'm hoping this will be the shallow crank rod for me from this series.

@polkfish1

I’m still using my Spin Cobra for almost 17 years.
