Outstanding. He makes some amazing blanks. Report back after more time with it. Would love to hear where you feel it really shines. 🫡

Beautiful combo homie! Love the sky blue accents mixing nicely with the rod and reel pairing. Well played

WOWZERS! Absolutely beautiful combo, Jorrick...and befitting of the Wraith namesake (also a killer cult movie from the 1980s).  Happy for you brother and thanks for sharing.

I really like the rod and my initial impression was trying to think of a lighter rod !
definitely need more time with it and looking forward to getting work done to get out on the water.

The craziest thing is that it's rated 1/8 - 2.2 oz!  Holy Schnykees!

Designo is bold with their lure rating claims. Often too high, too, low, or both. The Designo rod I have is a MH rated 1/8 to 1.5 oz. No way it would do 1/8. 1/4 is the about the lowest with the right rod and I certainly would not trust it over 3/4 oz.

Okay...

just want to say this rod is alot of things and its not alot of things

This is easily a weightless lure rod but what I find is its best at 12lb test ( cause it has a stinger tip and when bit, the whole sections moves ) 1/8th oz  and Xzone Lures MB Fat Finesse Worm or something like a zoom trick worm.

I was fishing from the bank and its not a rod to fish in the snot but with a light weight ticking the grass you feel everything and i imagine it would be a great rod for anything deep with structure.

The rod is a pleasure to fish with but the 1/8z total weight is a stretch. Maybe 1/8oz and lure such as the Double Motion by Evergreen International. Zoom finesse worm is another great choice. I saw on line somewhere that someone used this rod for jerkbaits and thats not a stretch IMHO its really weird type rod that screams try this or that but primarily it rivals my TRS rod some.

@goldrod great insight. Much of the time I find such subtle differences in the ST’s/Dual taper sticks that it really does become difficult to find niche applications for them. Definitely fall into a gray/multi-task area. One thing is for sure…his blanks do not disappoint and in my eyes, he has become the king of dual tapers and solid tips. Enjoy that beautiful combo, J!

This has to be the most complete rod for 12# test and bottom Up hurry slide

I mean complete!  Lures that glide back from you style such as this one is just a great rod. Using a Zpi M spool with a small nail weight allowed me to determine hard bottom from grass. This is that IT rod
